GET YOUR GOAT

Hey! My name is Maddie and it is great to meet you. Animals have been a part of my life from the time I was born, and I grew up around a variety of them. From my first pet being a turkey, to getting a goat when I was three because I asked for a puppy; I’ve been a life long lover of animals. When I was five years old, my parents introduced me to showing livestock, which preceded me joining 4H, and I still show goats across the country to this day. This love of animals lead me to Colorado State University where I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science.

Upon graduation I found myself going into the corporate world, but I still kept my small herd of Boer goats. After a long day at work, they were what helped ground me, and I called chores my therapy.

As my mental health started to suffer, I knew I needed to get back to my roots. That’s where Groovy Goatz came in. Knowing how much it helps me to spend time with my animals, I wanted to share that same positive power with other people who may not have the space or financial means to own animals themselves. Whether it’s introducing a child to a goat for the first time or allowing someone to pet a sheep that hasn’t seen them in person before; I want to help spread joy one animal and person at a time.
